LIPHOOK DISTRICT GUIDES MEMBERSHIP POLICY
Guiding is open to all girls regardless of faith, providing they are prepared to make the Promise.
Rainbow Promise :
I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.
Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders and adult Leaders Promise:
I Promise
That I will do my best
To love my God,
To serve the Queen and help other people
and to keep the (Brownie) Guide Law
The Brownie Guide Law is:
A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself and does a Good Turn every day.
The Guide Law is:
A Guide is honest, reliable and can be trusted.
A Guide is helpful and uses her time and abilities wisely.
A Guide faces challenge and learns from her experiences.
A Guide is a good friend and a sister to all Guides.
A Guide is polite and considerate.
A Guide respects all living things and takes care of the world around her.
- Except in exceptional circumstances, the policy of Liphook District is that we only accept girls into the Units who live in the Parish of Bramshott and Liphook.
- No girl should be excluded from Guiding because of family circumstances. In the event that your daughter is hampered from applying to join Guiding because the family has an acute financial problem, this matter can be discussed in confidence with the District Coordinator or the Unit Guider.
-
If your daughter has a health problem or disability of any kind, this will not, in the vast majority of cases, be a barrier to her taking part in Guiding, but it would be appreciated if you could first discuss her needs with the Guider who administers the waiting list or the District Coordinator, so that the most appropriate Unit can be discussed.
