Our main aim as a Unit was to improve the Patrol system and this is working well now.
The girls are having more fun in planning their Patrol Go For Its and have been coming up with some good ideas for what to do each week. The Unit completed several Go For Its, enjoyed a cooking challenge, took part in a Disability Awareness evening, did some team building exercises, and learnt how to light a fire in preparation for their Patrol cooking the following week.
The girls enjoyed a wide game and we have also tested their camp skills in a fun way. We had an enjoyable bowling trip. A number of the girls from the Unit have given service by helping at Thinking Day, raising money by bag packing at Sainsburys, attending the LiDBA Cycle ride and the Infant School Christmas and summer Fayres.
In the summer we invited 2nd Liphook Guides along to one of our meetings for a Hawaiian evening and the costumes were lovely. The weather was perfect for the occasion. Prizes were awardd for the best outfits, and we had a barbecue.
Anna and Rachel worked towards their Leadership Qualification to become warranted Leaders. They have both been presented with their warrants.
Four girls, along with Anna and Rachel joined the 2nd Liphook Guides for weekend camp at Herons Wey in Tilford in May and all had a good time.
Ten girls plus 4 of our Leaders took part in the District summer camp at Blacklands farm, East Grinstead in July.
In 1st Liphook Guides some of our leaders are away at university during term time, but we are pleased that they come back to help in the holidays.
