We had a full pack for most of the year with 24 Brownies

We had another busy and successful year enjoying a huge variety of activities. The new Brownie programme continued to provide fun and challenges both for the girls and their leaders.

We celebrated the Brownies 90th birthday by attending Fundaze at Foxlease in September with 5,000 other Brownies from around the Region. Ariel runways, rope bridges, go-carts were just a few of the activities the girls had a go at.

Another highlight of the year was the action packed Brownie Big Weekend at Hayling Island in March. The girls joined in all the fun with their usual enthusiasm. Many overcame their fears and abseiled down the tower encouraged by the instructors and cheering from the Pack.

5th Liphook BrowniesThe girls participated in the following District events: -

Liphook carnival, our oriental float won a first in the best children's float and best on the move.

The Remembrance Day service at Bramshott church.

World Thinking Day service at the Methodist church.

5th Liphook BrowniePocket money was donated to the tsunami disaster fund and the Girl Guiding Friendship fund to help the affected communities. We decorated the Guide Hall with replica paper coins which the Brownies made and as well asbeing fun, it was a visual reminder of our fundraising efforts. We made a very long line of coins around the walls.

We also did some fundraising for Holly's Fund by helping customers pack their bags at Sainsbury's supermarket in Liphook.

Fundraising for the carnival at the District Danceathon.

A number of our Brownies took part in the LIDBA Cycle Ride to raise money for the District by sponsorship.

The girls worked hard to be awarded the following badges: Dance, Agility, Collectors, Hostess and Friends to Animals.

Pack activities included a very wet car wash evening, a skittles evening,'horseracing', kite flying, a visit to Alice Holt Country Park adventure course, a BBQ, an Easter egg hunt and several themed parties.

Looking back over the year all the Brownies all seem to have accomplished a great deal, this is only made possible by the enthusiasm and commitment of the Guiders, Young Leaders, the Friends of Guiding, parents and of course the girls themselves.
