PLACES TO VISIT
For groups planning a residential stay at the Scout and Guide halls, there are a wide range of activities available in the area, suitable for all ages.
These include sports and swimming facilities, footpaths and countryside walks, picnics, nature study, wide games etc, tourist attractions, museums, beaches, a narrow guage railway and many others.
Many of the tourist attractions and sports facilities mentioned below have their own website which is easy to find, and information on the beauty spots mentioned can also be found on the internet by using a search engine.

Within walking distance of the Scout and Guide halls:
- Liphook Recreational Ground - Two childrens play areas with swings, slides etc, and lots of room for games or sports.
- Bohunt Sports Centre - fitness studio, 2 squash courts, floodlit playing court, full size floodlit astro-turf pitch, grass pitches for football, indoor sports hall, 2 tennis courts, basketball court etc. Tel: 01428 724324
- Radford Park - Woods, footpaths, River Wey, small shallow streams, duck pond, large open grassed area. Small car park.
Read a description of the walk to Radford Park from the halls, avoiding the village centre. This walk should take about 10 to 15 minutes depending on the age of the children and size of the group. A circular walk around the Park itself takes about half to three quarters of an hour, but allow longer for stops to paddle or watch the wildlife.

- Highfield Woods. Woodland walks.
- Sussex Border Path. Long distance path.

- Blackdown, Haslemere . Beautiful views, woodland walks. Near Tennyson's birthplace.
- Devil's Punch Bowl . Hindhead. Well-known beauty spot for walking.
- Gibbet Hill, Hindhead. Historic beauty spot, near Devil's Punch Bowl.
- Grayshott Common. Heathland.
- Frensham Ponds . Small lakes, one with a sandy 'beach' for paddling, plus sailing, fishing, canoeing.
- Harting Down. Open walk on the South Downs with beautiful views.
